A poem written on the death of the American magazine publisher (September 2017)

Marilyn Monroe was Playboy’s first cover girl, and first model to appear fully nude in the magazine. Hefner published the photos without her permission. Despite having never met her, he bought the cemetery plot next to hers, because, “Spending eternity next to Marilyn is too sweet to pass up. […] I feel a double connection to her, because she was the launching key to the beginning of Playboy.” And yet, according to Marilyn, “I never even received a thank-you. I even had to buy a copy of the magazine to see myself in it.”
